New Report Available: Advancing Semantic Interoperability for Digital Twins

The final report from the AIOTI Workshop on Semantic Interoperability for Digital Twins, held on 5–6 February 2025 and hosted by ERCIM in Sophia Antipolis, is now available online.

In-House Staff Exchange Programmes

AIOTI Workshop on Semantic Interoperability for Digital Twins

ERCIM hosted the AIOTI Workshop on Semantic Interoperability for Digital Twins from 5–6 February in Sophia Antipolis, France, gathering around 50 experts. The workshop focused on advancing semantic interoperability and laying the groundwork for next-generation information systems by addressing real-world industrial challenges. It featured a mix of invited talks and community-submitted presentations that led to productive discussions. Report of the 12th International Workshop on Computational Intelligence for Multimedia Understanding

TERMINET - Towards Next Generation IoT

ERCIM and JST Joint Workshop Report

We are pleased to share insights from the recent 4th Workshop jointly organized by ERCIM and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), held in Kyoto, Japan, in October 2023. This workshop, themed “Exploring New Research Challenges and Collaborations in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Human-Computer Interaction, and the Internet of Things,” served as a dynamic platform for European and Japanese researchers to present their latest findings and discuss future collaborations.

Hosted by JST as part of the Advanced Integrated Intelligence Platform project, the event successfully fostered discussions on cutting-edge research and development in critical technological domains. Participants had the unique opportunity to explore potential partnerships within the framework of European Commission programs and corresponding initiatives by JST, setting the stage for innovative international collaborations in the fields of AI, Big Data, HCI, and IoT.
