The ERCIM Working Group on Software Engineering and the Informatics Europe Working Group on Software Research are pleased to announce the launch of the first Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for Software Engineering.

Developed through a joint European community effort, the SRIA presents a shared vision for strengthening software engineering research, innovation and capabilities across Europe. The launch event will bring together representatives from the European Commission, policymakers, industry and the research community to discuss how Europe can shape its future software engineering agenda.

The event will focus on:

  • Raising awareness of the strategic importance of software engineering for Europe's digital future.
  • Presenting a shared vision of the software engineering capabilities Europe needs to strengthen.
  • Initiating the discussion on the research, infrastructure, education and policy investments needed to build these capabilities.

Target Audience

  • European Commission representatives (DG CONNECT, DG RTD, AI Office, and others)
  • National Contact Points
  • Representatives of national ministries
  • Industry
  • The research community
