Preliminary announcement · First edition
Where Europe’s quantum projects meet.
A focused European forum for EU-funded quantum technology projects. Designed for meaningful scientific exchange, project visibility, new collaborations and direct connections across research, industry and policy.
A new meeting point for European quantum R&I
Projects create impact when they connect.
Europe is investing strongly in quantum technologies through Horizon Europe, the Quantum Flagship, national programmes and a rapidly developing industrial ecosystem. Hundreds of researchers and organisations are advancing quantum computing, communication, sensing, enabling technologies and applications.
Yet project teams often meet only within their own consortia or at large, broad conferences. The European Quantum Projects Forum is being created to offer something different: a curated environment where European projects can present what they are building, learn from one another and create the relationships that lead to future collaborations.
Why participate?
More than dissemination. A place to make useful connections.
The programme will be built around the needs of active European projects and the people responsible for turning research into visible, collaborative impact.
Show your project
Present results, demonstrate technologies and raise the visibility of your project within a highly relevant European audience.
Meet your peers
Exchange experience with coordinators, researchers and partners facing similar scientific, technical and dissemination challenges.
Build what comes next
Explore complementary expertise, identify consortium opportunities and start conversations around future European calls and joint initiatives.
Connect beyond academia
Engage with selected industrial stakeholders and policy representatives in a setting designed for discussion rather than exhibition-floor traffic.
Who it is for
A deliberately focused European community.
The first edition is expected to bring together approximately 80–120 participants, keeping the forum small enough for real interaction and broad enough to connect projects across the ecosystem.
At the core
- Coordinators of EU-funded quantum projects
- Researchers and project partners
- Universities and research institutes
- Quantum Flagship and related European initiatives
Connecting with
- Quantum startups and technology companies
- Photonics and semiconductor stakeholders
- Telecom, cybersecurity, cloud and HPC actors
- Relevant European and national policy representatives
What to expect
A programme designed for exchange, not passive attendance.
One focused track, carefully selected contributions and generous time for conversation. The final programme will be shaped with participating projects and scientific advisors.
And because the most valuable conversations rarely happen at the lectern: networking will be a central part of the programme, including an evening reception or dinner on the Côte d’Azur.
Sophia Antipolis · Côte d’Azur · France
Science, technology — and the Mediterranean.
The inaugural forum is planned for spring 2027 in Sophia Antipolis, one of Europe’s established science and technology clusters, only a short distance from Nice and the Mediterranean coast.
The setting is intentional: an international research environment with excellent European connections and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages the informal conversations on which successful collaborations are often built.
Designed as a hybrid forum
Be there in person. Extend the reach online.
The in-person experience will prioritise networking, collaboration and relationship building. A complementary online layer is planned to broaden access across Europe and strengthen project dissemination through selected livestreams, remote participation and reusable recordings.

Interested in bringing your project to the Côte d’Azur?
We are currently consulting European quantum projects, researchers and selected ecosystem partners before finalising the dates, programme and participation model. Early expressions of interest are welcome and will help us design the forum around the community’s priorities.
We particularly welcome early interest from:
- EU quantum project coordinators
- Projects wishing to disseminate results
- Researchers seeking collaboration partners
- Relevant industrial and institutional stakeholders
