"Connect the Unconnected"
You are cordially invited to attend the closing event of the Digital World Forum (DWF) EU project, on Wednesday 30 September 2009, in Brussels, Belgium
How to better connect people in developing countries? How can they benefit from access to ICT? What are the most easy-to-use devices to help rural communities in their daily lives?
The DWF project partners have explored the use of low-cost technologies to bridge the digital divide. They focused their research work on topics related to mobile Web for development, low-cost access devices and low-cost broadband infrastructure.
Along with key invited speakers, the DWF partners will present their outcome and findings; underline the potential of one or more of the above mentioned low-cost technologies; and call for actions in future funding and research.
Come learn, discuss and network with all participants! This one-day closing event is free of charge and will be held in Brussels at the International Auditorium. Please *register online* at: http://www.digitalworldforum.eu/component/dwf/
The DWF is project managed by ERCIM.
