Christer Samuelsson awarded Cor Baayen Fellowship


Alain Bensoussan, Vice President of ERICM (r), presents the Cor Baayen Fellowship award to Christer Samuelsson

The Cor Baayen Fellowship was created to honour the first President of ERCIM, and is presented each year to a promising young researcher working in one of the ERCIM organisations.

Christer Samuelsson from the Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS) was selected Cor Baayen Fellow 1995. Alain Bensoussan, Vice President of ERCIM, presented the 1000 ECU award to the winner. The ceremony took place on the 9 November during the Familiarization Day at the Hungarian Institute of Computer Science, SZTAKI, in Budapest.

Christer Samuelsson recieved the award for his research in the field of natural language processing. A report on the work will be featured in a future issue of ERCIM News.
