ERCIM NewsERCIM News No. 78 (July 2009) with a special theme featuring nineteen articles on "Mathematics for Finance and Economy", coordinated by Ralf Korn, University of Kaiserslautern and Fraunhofer ITWM, Germany, has just been published. This issue includes a keynote "Quantitative Finance and the Credit Crisis" by Michael A H. Dempster, Centre for Financial Research, Statistical Laboratory, University of Cambridge & Cambridge Systems Associates and an article "Quality of Quantitative Finance" by Paul Wilmott stating “There is too much mathematics in finance”.
